Bend DAC has a very 'green' feel, only 5 of our cardio machines are generated by electricity, the rest are self-powered. We also purchased 2 giant fans which use a power foil vs a blade to move air evenly throughout. Our entire HVAC system was designed around these 2 fans! They could be compared to solar energy; the initial cost was more, however, the return is incredible. On average they cost approx 8-10 cents an hour to operate.

Dave and Gary designed the Group Fitness room to have a smaller, more personal and intimate feel. The Bend Downtown Athletic Club prides themselves on the large windows allowing an abundance of natural light, as well as the warm natural colors and hand-textured walls. Traditional group fitness classes are often facilitated in a large, often poorly lit room with an average of 25-40 people in attendance. This can be very intimidating and uncomfortable for some which only takes away from your experience to begin with. At BDAC our average class size ranges from 5-10 persons. This allows our instructors to provide the individualized attention and memorable experience you deserve!
