Strength Equipment

Dave and Gary traveled extensively throughout the U.S. to bring you what they feel is the very best equipment in Central Oregon. Large corporate franchises may routinely pick up the phone and 'mass order' their equipment with the mentality of 1 size fits all. Dave and Gary set out to design and build a premium fitness center that goes against this thinking. EACH piece of equipment was tested before being selected using a 1-5 scoring/grading system.

Each machine was scored based on 4 major factors:
  • Safety
  • Comfort
  • Ease of Use
  • Targeted Effectiveness

Other factors involved in the decision making process were:
  • Does each machine or piece of equipment physically 'fit' EVERY person? Gary is approximately 5'6", 150lbs and Dave is 6', 205lbs., so the equipment is versatile enough to fit a broad range of people.
  • Rehabilitation. Many of the machines are equipped with adjustable 'range limiters' to assist in promoting a safe range of motion while preventing injury.
  • Support- To help prevent risk of injury their goal was to introduce equipment that provides the highest level of comfort and support without having to sacrifice form or technique.

We are most proud of our 'strength training' line of equipment called SportsArt. First, the seats are actual racecar bucket seats designed in Italy. Secondly, the frames are tubular rather than square like most so they are 'attractive' aesthetically. Thirdly, the weight is lifted with a plate vs. a standard pin which virtually eliminates the 'drag' resistance throughout a movement and lastly, SportsArt machines are belt driven vs. a chain or cable system which means they are smooth and quiet. One would need to experience the difference to truly appreciate what this all means!

We have 5 more lines of equipment which are custom painted to match. We went 1 step further by having every machine covered with a special material called Mallowhide. Mallowhide is softer than a traditional vinyl covering yet it is also much more durable.
